There was no hill. Only a smoldering chasm, and the injured god within. The maiden was aghast, how could this have happened to her one and only home? All of her friends, her family, gone. She runs into the chasm, as she has nowhere else to go. The soil scalds her feet, the air stings her nostrils, and her eyes meet with the god's. The god has an appearance that mustn't be described, but the maiden refuses to avert her eyes. In her anger, she grabs a lump of dirt and throws it at the god. It does nothing. Tears fill the maiden's eyes, she falls to her knees and weeps. The pain of her loss far outweighs the pain of her legs on the scorched soil. She cries out, pleading to the god for answers,

"Why? What have we done for you destroy my home?"

The god did not speak with words, but instead bestowed a fragment of its memories to the maiden.

There is a smoldering chasm, an injured god, and a vengeful maiden. the god has an idea. An idea it will surely regret partaking in. But an idea nonetheless. The maiden receives its idea.

Each living being contains several souls, all nested within one another. The innermost soul is a fraction of divinity. A true divinity has the power to activate that innermost soul, but at a cost. And so two beings become one, and burrow back into the realm of the gods to right a wrong. Little does the god know that it will never have a mind of its own again, nor the maiden her memories.

Their story ends, and a new story begins for
